Sam Hall's Convention Merch 2024!

Hi! I'm Sam Hall, an illustrator/animator from Dartmouth NS.

I focus mainly on RPG/Fantasy illustration and merch with a fun and whimsical theme. I've tabled at Hal-con 2016-’23, as well as DCAF and Geequinox 2017-’19 with friend/tablemate Lauren Adams. Please enjoy the following images of my principal sales items.

RPG Shirts

Tabletop inventory shirts of my own design! They come in four colours, men's and women's sizes from S to XL, and have been very successful in the past year. I’ve recently expanded my inventory with the Beaver Knight t-shirts shown below, also my own artwork!

Speed Commissions

My favourite part of cons is doing these 1$ speed commissions! I have a small hourglass to time the minute and my audience patter down to a science. I draw portraits of cosplayers, d&d characters, favorite superheros, inside jokes, pictures of pets, and anything else you could imagine!

I will furiously draw for exactly 60 seconds.  The low cost, one-of-a-kind result with the experience of watching live drawing has been very popular with con-goers--  I did around 300 of them over the course of Halcon 2023. Please see a small selection of examples to the right (or below on mobile).

You can now also get your drawing on a magnet backing or as a shrink-plastic keychain for a couple extra bucks which has been a popular upsell! (I spend a few extra minutes on these ones :p )

This year I will also have D&D token sets- physical tokens for the DM or players to hand out to remind players they have inspiration or other status effects.

New Items!

I’m going to try out some brand new magnet sets this year- that’s my first test batch below! I’ve also been working on the designs for some plush/stuffed D&D props (daggers and potion bottles so far).

Fancy Commissions

I also offer original con commissions at a discounted rate from my usual work. They are ink-and-watercolour paintings, generally of RPG characters or OCs, and are generally completed/delivered to the customer after the con.
